Snowy Mountains Climbing School (SMCS) is a company that provides Outdoor Adventure Activities and Training to corporate groups, industry, school groups and individuals.
Born from the Snowy Mountains at Khancoban in 1996, SMCS has developed and evolved over the past decade to become one of the major adventure activity providers in NSW, ACT & VIC, with the mission;

Chris Brown (Founder and Managing Director) has been guiding and instructing throughout the world since 1992. Chris's wealth of knowledge and experience, gained from high altitude guiding in Alaska and South America, and his memberships in the Professional Association of Climbing Instructors (PACI) and the American Mountain Guides Association allow Snowy Mountains Climbing School to deliver a product that is of International standard.
SMCS expertise is in fully staffed, equipped and resourced outdoor adventure programs and training, with a focus on personal development, experiential learning, challenge by choice, and of course FUN!
With activities operating from a number of locations around the country, such as Jindabyne Thredbo, Pine Mountain N.P. (VIC), Tathra and Mt Buffalo (VIC) being delivered by qualified and experienced staff. Snowy Mountains Climbing School has had the pleasure of delivering programs to;
SMCS also offers nationally accredited training for outdoor leadership and recreation. With several members of staff holding Workplace Trainer and Assessor qualifications, SMCS is a Registered Training Officer (RTO) and can offer courses in the fields of Climbing, Abseiling and Alpine survival.
SMCS maintains a very high standard of customer service and adheres to Quality Assurance and Health, Safety & Environmental principles. This has allowed SMCS to become an industry leader in Outdoor Recreation and provide a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience!
